Bethany contacted us via Instagram to capture photos of her, her boyfriend, and furry baby Dusty. While we had never intentionally photographed pets we were very excited because it’s not often you meet a domestic cat that enjoys the outdoors. You could definitely pick up on this as soon as he was let out of his stroller.

He was the most curious cat. With devoted runners up and down the 606 Trail, the Chicago CTA trains chugging along on the tracks above us, and cars zooming below us there was a lot of sensory overload but he took it like a champ and watched everything and everyone. We were also uber lucky with the weather because before and after this day it was cold, gloomy, and drizzling. A combo not suitable for a cat.

Bethany favored an urban feel while Lain cared for the nature feel. I couldn’t think of a better place for our couple session than staying in Chicago’s hipster neighborhood, Logan Square. With artistic murals and structures strewn about to create that urban edgy feel and Park No. 567 which led into the Bloomingdale 606 Trail provided for a great nature backdrop to any photo session.
